Cabbaritta CWA hosts the Charlton Australia Day Celebrations at the Shrie Hall, Armstrong Street Charlton. The day's celebrations begin with a cooked breakfast for all in attendance, commencing at 8am.
We hope thet everyone will be generous with at least a gold coin donation which will continue to be forwarded on to the Charlton Hospital towards extra needs in the future new hospital. At 9am the flags are raised.
Everyone is the invited into the hall for the formalities of awards of recognition, and the welcome to new members of our community. All enlivened by the singing of the senior citizens choir.
We are also treated to a guest speaker and this year we will be enlightened by Mr Don Cullen, an gentleman who dedicates 3 months of each year to assisting the illiterate and underprivilaged of Tibet.
