In A Persian Garden
June 21 @ 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm
In a Persian Garden is a song cycle for four voices – soprano, contralto, tenor & bass – composed by the great Edwardian songwriter Liza Lehmann.
The setting is the renowned “Rubaiyát of Omar Khayyám” in which a philosopher-poet contemplates the beauties of nature, the essence of love, the mysteries of existence, the joys of wine, and the necessity of seizing the day.
